General
With the advent of the digital era and the rapid growth of 5G Internet of Everything, the intelligent development of data centers, as the core facilities for data storage, processing and transmission, has become an inevitable trend. The intelligent system of the data center includes security system, building automation system, computer network system and other subsystems, in the intelligent design, it needs to be divided according to the owner's management mode, usually using the mode of one total and multiple points.

The development of the network

With the development of artificial intelligence and big data, the intelligent systems of the future will inevitably be highly integrated and interconnected, displaying and operating through a unified platform, including on-premises and cloud.
In this system, fiber optic cables are the core foundation. According to the requirements of Article 10.2.4 of the Data Center Design Code GB50174-2017, the backbone and horizontal subsystems undertaking data services should use OM3/OM4 multimode optical cables, single-mode optical cables or Class 6A and above twisted cables, and the grades of each component of the transmission medium should be consistent and redundant configurations should be adopted.
At present, most of the indoor backbone and horizontal subsystems of data centers use OM3 and OM4 multimode optical cables, and with the improvement of data transmission requirements, when the transmission rate reaches more than 400G, OM5 multimode optical cables can be used, which has a longer transmission distance than OM3 and OM4 optical cables. In addition, Article 10.2.6 requires that the fiber optic cable backbone or horizontal wiring system with 12 cores or more in the main computer room wiring system should adopt a multi-core MPO/MTP pre-connection system (Figure 1).

MPO/MTP pre-connect systems are suitable for high-density cabinets, have a modular design for future expansion and maintenance, and provide significant cost savings with MPO/MTP pre-connect systems for large-scale fiber optic connection projects. And with the help of the 3D visualization platform, the query and display of jumpers and links can be realized, improving system reliability and maintenance efficiency, and reducing operation and maintenance management costs. With the vigorous development of AI, big data and cloud computing, the requirements of network bandwidth transmission rate continue to increase, and optical networks will gradually become the mainstream, and optical networks have the following advantages over the current Ethernet:
