Project Overview:/ The Guangxi Mobile Liuzhou Wenhui and Luowei machine rooms have a total of 22 sets of air-cooled precision air conditioners. Because fixed-frequency air conditioners cannot dynamically adjust their cooling output to match the actual load, when the cooling capacity does not match the on-site load, the compressor frequently starts and stops to maintain the room temperature, resulting in energy waste — making a variable-frequency retrofit essential.
Retrofit Plan:/ Following a comprehensive assessment of equipment utilisation across all machine rooms, 26 precision air-conditioning variable-frequency energy-saving controllers were installed on a one-to-one basis for the 22 precision air conditioners in Wenhui and Luowei machine rooms, allowing the compressor and fans to adjust their output on demand via variable-frequency drives, thereby lowering the PUE and operational costs of the computer rooms.
Customer Value:/ After the renovation of the Wenhui and Luowei computer rooms, on-site measurements confirmed that the overall energy saving rate reached 33.42%. With the help of variable frequency energy-saving controllers, the operating frequency of compressors and fans was effectively reduced, thereby lowering air-conditioning Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) .
