With the gradual advancement of the construction process of intelligent high-speed rail represented by "intelligent construction", "intelligent equipment" and "intelligent operation" in our country, the requirements of "ubiquitous interconnection" of intelligent high-speed rail have put forward huge bandwidth requirements for vehicle-ground wireless data transmission, and at the same time, due to the high reliability requirements of high-speed rail train control system for vehicle-ground wireless data transmission, it has spawned the need for railway wireless communication to upgrade to the next generation broadband communication system with higher transmission rate and build a railway 5G private network (referred to as 5G-R). 5G-R uses higher frequency bands and larger system bandwidth technologies, but also brings a significant increase in overall system energy consumption. According to GSMA statistics, 5G wireless base stations account for more than 73% of the overall energy consumption of communication systems. According to our country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the total carbon emissions of China's data centers and 5G base station facilities will reach 2.3-310 million tons in 2035, accounting for about 2-4% of China's carbon emissions. Therefore, solving the problem of high energy consumption of 5G base stations, while using green energy to effectively reduce carbon emissions, promote the green development of railways, and help the national "double carbon" goal to be achieved as scheduled, is one of the core problems that need to be solved urgently in the railway communication industry.
From February 28 to March 1, 2023, the opening meeting of China Railway Group's "Research on Green Operation Technology of Railway 5G-R Base Stations" organized by China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute was held in Beijing.

1. Shougang Big Jump Stacking Light Pilot Station
The staff of China Tower Beijing Company explained the working principle and key technologies of the intelligent DC light stacking system of the Shougang Big Jump communication base station on the spot. As a pilot station for new energy applications, photovoltaic power generation can account for 10% of the base station's annual energy consumption.
2. China Tower Industrial Park
Under the leadership of the staff, the Haiwu team, together with the leaders and experts, visited and studied the China Tower Industrial Park, monitoring center and comprehensive exhibition hall, further understood the concept of "sharing and coordinated development" of China Tower, and experienced its "tower model of sharing competition and cooperation", which benefited us a lot.

"Research on Green Operation Technology of Railway 5G-R Base Station"
The opening meeting of China Railway Group's "Research on Green Operation Technology of Railway 5G-R Base Stations" was held as scheduled, and leaders and experts from railways, communications, universities and project cooperation units attended the meeting for guidance.
This project is in line with the national "dual carbon" strategy and the green and low-carbon development requirements of the information and communication industry, and the research results provide support for the design, construction and standard system construction of 5G-R base stations of green railways, and have important guiding significance for the engineering promotion of green operation technology of 5G-R base stations of railways. As the leading unit of the "Research on the Integration and Application Scheme of Air Conditioning Intelligent Management and Control Technology and Fresh Air Energy Saving Technology in Base Station Computer Room" in this key project, Haiwu will fully cooperate with the research work of the railway 5G-R base station pilot to ensure the orderly development of the project.
